Boscombe Road

This project involved the refurbishment and extension of a Victorian house in Shepherds Bush – creating a large double height Kitchen/Living space to the rear of the house with large areas of glazing opening to the garden, providing light deep inside the building and views outwards.

The interior was opened up to create larger, more useful spaces. The external form of the extension is designed to make the building feel as “weightless” as possible visually, in counterpoint to the masonry of the existing house. The render wall treatment repeats that of the street front of the house.
