The Aetherius Society wanted to create an entrance to their projected church and centre for alternative medicine, to be located in a recently acquired 19th Century building in South-West London. The new vestibule stands on a site previously occupied by a small untidy yard with various doors and fire escapes opening out onto it from a series of accumulated bays.
The project rationalises these doors and resolves the problem of providing a very public entrance to the alternative medicine centre with a more private one to the church.
